Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards let creative students submit original work in 28 art and writing categories through roughly 100 regional affiliate programs. Eligible work can receive Honorable Mention, Silver Key, or Gold Key recognition regionally; Gold Key work advances to national judging for medals, publication, exhibition, and selected scholarships. For 2026, entries opened October 1, regional deadlines ranged from December 1 to January 6, national results were announced March 25, and National Awards Week ran June 9–11 in New York City.
